Have you ever wanted to know how to make a giant squid cake?! ME, TOO!
Thankfully, a marvelously clever woman (Beth Johnson) has posted instructions on how to do just that. My life is a little more complete now.
I give it two YUM YUUUUMs! (Gremlins reference – the food equivalent to two thumbs up.)

PUPUSAS for the PEOPLE!

Today Jason and I took a jaunt down Clark Street to check out a new Pupseria down the street.

PUPUSAs are heavenly little el salvedorian corn pockets of love filled with holy and wonderful delights that are then topped with curtido (el salvedorian pickled cabbage- coleslaw’s more beautiful and delicious sister.)
It was our first time eating pupusas and it’s hard to imagine a better first impression.
It might sound a little dramatic to say that my life was changed…
but it was…
the end…
I am not the same woman I was before.
Go get one. NOW! I’m not kidding.
