vernacular photography

Lately I’ve been really into vernacular photography… basically amateur / found photography. there are several blogs on the subject. My favorite is this site:

Anonymity & Voyeurism…
These photos are often amazingly beautiful and shockingly honest.

I love technology, but, I have an aching fear that in 30 years, we won’t be able to go to a random antique store and pilfer through old photos. Instead, hard drives will crash, discs will be scratched, printer ink will smudge, and years will be lost…

Our memories are fragile. Take photos will film.
